DECEMBER LOVIN'

"You have one month to finish the book of 2014. Make the last chapter a good one."

OH HOW I LOVE DECEMBER!

Every year the month of December just keeps getting better and better. But honestly, I don't know if this one can ever be topped!! From tea parties at Heritage to surprise ice skating celebrations, every day has something exciting going on!

I've met so many new people, shared so many laughs, and too many hugs to keep count. I have really been blessed by such wonderful friends who are always up for anything, including impromptu Starbucks dates and late night facetiming! (I'm talking about you, Kryn!)

Let's hope 2015 can live up to this year! It'll be hard but I have faith!

Christmas in Bedford Falls

I'm doing something different this Christmas. I'm in a musical at our local community theatre.

The musical is A Wonderful Life, you know, the one about the guy who owns the bank and he's getting really poor and he decides to try and kill himself? It's the perfect, happy musical for Christmas time, isn't it?!

Okay, okay, it's still a great show. I'm so blessed to be in it, even if I'm just ensemble!! We're all having so much fun. The shows start in December, I'm so excited! I've never done a main stage production like this before, but my sister usually auditions for their musicals and it always looks like a blast. So I thought, why not?!

Shifting gears!

That cool weather that we had a while ago is long gone. Now we're back to 80 degree days and shorts. And yet, I'm still drinking hot cocoa!
It's not even Thanksgiving and my whole family has started putting on the Christmas music and breaking out the candy canes. Who am I to complain, though? I'm a sucker for these things!

Also, to get myself in the mood, I've bought three sweaters to prepare myself for the harsh Florida cold (more like the harsh Florida heat. But a girl can dream). And what better way to break in a brand new sweater than to spill pizza sauce on it? Am I right?

Good thing our family is a family of messes, therefore I know a thing or two about stains.

FOR THE LOVE OF FALL

Two days ago was the first day of fall (as you all know, I'm sure) and let me tell you: I live in Florida, and in Florida, wonderful things like fall and winter don't exist. But we like to imagine! So when I saw two little leaves fall from our big oak tree, you can bet all your donuts that I was jumping around and screaming "It's happening! It's happening!!"

Floridians I get very excited over these things.

So anyway, in spirit of fall, I bought some ankle boots (with a coupon, of course) and new sweaters and took pictures in them. It's the obvious thing to do, right?

I'm dying to travel to a state where it actually gets cold during fall, and to see the leaves actually change colors, and be able to drink hot chocolate without burning up inside. These are the things that I consider bucket list items!! Other people might want to travel to Paris or see a Justin Bieber concert, but not me, I just want to wear my sweaters and jeans and be cold.

To conclude: I love fall, even if the closest thing I get to it is looking at fall pins on Pinterest!

around my room

My room is my happy place.  I love it because it's nice and calming, very spacious and bright. It's where I go to create things, write about all my innermost thoughts (which always include a bunch of nonsense that no one cares about), watch Netflix for hours and of course, sleep.

There were a lot of great memories made in this room, too. When my siblings and I were younger, we would dance around to music and tape ourselves. (these videos are now burned onto a disc that we watch whenever we need a good laugh)
Plenty of sleepovers were held here, which was always fun and definitely an adventure - because when you have three girls talking in French accents all night, you remember it.

I realize I'm rambling now now about more nonsense (surprise, surprise!) so I'll spare you another minute of it!

The bestest Kryn in all the land!

After Kryn made her sweet blog post about me, I decided it was time to return the favor!

This girl is just too wonderful for words. She is super gorgeous and funny, and we have countless inside jokes about the stupidest things such as celestial light and Frozen songs. (so he's a bit of a fixer upper!)

I enjoy every second I get with this girl, she is such a blessing to have in my life! She's always there for me if I need someone to talk to (a.k.a. when I vent about dumb stuff for like 4 hours), when I need a laugh, or a Spongebob buddy (it's our favorite tv show).

Kryn, you are the loveliest person alive and I am so thankful for our friendship! Love you always!

Succulent, succulent

Got these little guys today! Aren't they the cutest?

Super short post, but hey, there's only so many things you can say about little plants. And clearly, I've already run out.

may goals

Guys, it's almost summer! I have 3 more weeks of school and then I'm free. A couple of my friends have already gotten out and they're telling me all about the beach, the fun, the smoothies, and I'm quite jealous.

But the school year is almost over, so horray!

Anyway, enough chit chat. Goals are always fun, so here we go!

write more letters!
buy some flowers
1 journal entry every day
go to the beach
buy a summer scent
bake muffins
2 hours on pinterest per day

(Boy, that last one is going to be hard...)

May I also add that my birthday happens to be this month? Yup, on the 15th I turn 15! Huh, I never realized that...turning 15 on the 15th...

On a side note, I have a Tumblr now. Now, before you go and judge, I must warn you that I've only had it for a few days and still don't know what the heck I'm doing. If someone could come over and show me the ropes, I'd be eternally grateful!

Enjoy the rest of your Thursday!

thank goodness for Target...

Because without it, I'd have no idea what to do for my Easter outfit.

So basically, my whole outfit right here is from Target.

Anyway, let's try to remember not to focus too much on the eggs, candy, and cute little bunnies. Jesus died for all of us on the cross, because he loved us. That, my friends, is what we need to remember.

"He is not here, but He has risen. Remember how He spoke to you while He was still in Galilee, saying that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again."
