SWEET SIXTEEN (literally.)

GUESS WHO TURNED SIXTEEN YESTERDAY.

That's right, it's me!!! Let's all rejoice!

Although I still had to study for finals and you know, do life, it was still a pretty decent birthday because (1) no one forgot it was my birthday, (2) I got a dozen donuts from Krispy Kreme, and (3) I had Chick-Fil-A for dinner. What more can you ask for?! That's the perfect birthday if you ask me.

I didn't have a big, fancy sweet sixteen party like everyone normally does. Instead, me and a few of my closest friends stayed in the sun all day long (and we have the sunburns to prove it) playing volleyball, listening to good music, and watching manatees.

Don't worry, there will be a post about that coming up soon! But for now, enjoy this picture of my perfectly stacked birthday donuts. Please note that it took me about half an hour to arrange them just right.

To catch up...

I realized it's been a while since I've posted, but that's only because the month of May is always a busy one for us. So here's a quick update on what's happened, and what's going to happen:

MAY 15: my birthday! That's right, finally 15. It feels good. Oh and also, my mom threw me a little surprise party after I got back from school. It was supposed to be a pool party but we got rained out, so we played Apples to Apples for probably 2 and a half hours.

MAY 20: finals...ugh. My first year of high school means first year of exams. The majority of my days are now spent studying things like nirvana (no, not the band - the real nirvana) and what is true reality.
Also on May 20 is the sports banquet. I play volleyball, and I'm excited to see all my teammates again!

MAY 22: more exams.

MAY 23: graduation! My sister is a junior, and she is going to a community college next school year. And since they don't do graduation ceremonies, she's participating in one with our homeschool group this year.

So that is what's going on in the life of Sarah. Also, I thought you should know that I've been running on candy and Starbucks this whole week. (If you're struggling to stay awake while studying, you should eat some Reese's and drink frappuccinos. As my friend Kryn said, never underestimate the power of chocolate!)

ADVENTURES WITH THE TRIO

Birthday bliss! I was spoiled yesterday by getting together with my two favorite girlies and having tons of fun. It was an adventure; we walked about a mile but what seemed like 40 years, took lots of cheesy self timer photos, and went to the dollar theater to see Frozen. Also, Kryn tried her first sip of coffee and cringed all the way through it! I was so proud of her, though.

(Emily was obsessed with these leaves. I just thought you should know.)

(Also, I am happiest when coffee is in my hand.)

We had the greatest time! Hiding from people in the mall, happy hour at Starbucks, (half of frappuccinos!) and taking pictures of everything.

Thanks guys for an awesome early birthday! Love you much!
