This little light of mine

"Let your light shine so brightly 

that others can see their way

out of the dark."

I saw this quote on Pinterest (surprise, surprise!) a couple days ago, and it got me thinking. 

Remember that song all of us used to sing when we were little? 

"This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine"

I guess when I was younger, I never really thought about the meaning of that song very much. 

"Hide it under a bushel, no!"

Well, I kinda forgot about that song for a long time, but when I saw the quote, it made me remember. And along with remembering the catchy little tune, I also remember a Bible verse that I read not too long ago. 

"In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." Matthew 5:16

So basically, you want to be a light to others. You want to encourage them and love them even when it's hard. You want to spread the love of Jesus everywhere, so that others will come to know Him too.
